DeepDual
DeepDual is a display management utility for people with two monitors. The primary function is to display a blanked or dimmed screen on one of your monitors while always keeping the affected monitor instantly accessible. Simply bringing your mouse cursor back onto the blanked/dimmed monitor is enough to end the effect. This can be useful for several reasons.

Light Sensitivity for Computer Programmers
Large screens and predominantly white applications are not your friend. By the end of the day a hardcore coder can feel like he or she has been staring into two giant light bulbs all day. DeepDual can help extend your theoretical endurance by up to 50% just by keeping one monitor dark whenever your mouse is busy elsewhere.Optimal Media Viewing for Artists and Movie Watchers
Watching movies and viewing images are not activities that benefit from light pollution. Now you can put a stop to all that glare without powering down your other monitor.Concentration for the Easily Distracted
For some people, anything less than “out of sight” is not sufficient for the “out of mind” they need to be productive. With DeepDual you can put your mouse cursor where the action is and easily forget about the contents of your other monitor.
Recommended Settings
Personally, I use the “Prevent dimmer” option for my primary monitor and I keep a 80% opacity enabled on my secondary monitor. This allows me to keep an eye on programs I am monitoring while getting most of my work and viewing done without interruption. I also turn off the fading effect because I find it distracting.
