DeepDual - Making dual monitor computing the way it ought to be.

Alright party people, today I’m droppin’ something special for ya. Introducing… DeepDual. This is a display management utility for people with two monitors, also known as “dual-head”. If your mouse cursor roams over only one monitor, or more than two monitors (hah! right!), you should move along. There’s nothing for you to see here. But if you run dual-head, you’ll want DeepDual.
This utility resides in your system tray, helping you get more out of your dual-head experience. Anyone who spends massive amounts of time in front of two monitors can tell you, dark backgrounds are your friend. The human eye is simply not evolved to stare into the equivalent of two giant lightbulbs all day.
Luckily, the powers on high had the foresight to program our favorite OS with an API command to put your secondary monitor to sleep when you don’t plan to need it for awhile… oh… no, that’ right… they didn’t.
DeepDual fills in nicely for this lame situation by dimming your secondary and primary displays depending on the position of your mouse cursor and/or other settings.
The opacity setting allows you to still see what is going on at a glance with up to about 40% less glare in your periphery. It is also very nice for dedicated TV/movie sessions without having to manually power down your hardware.
Are there bugs? Probably. Will it #$%@ up and go crazy all over your desktop? Hopefully not. But this sucker is free people. What have you got to lose?
